Brilliant
Bought 2 of these for my kids from Santa. Opened these up at work when they were delivered. Everyone loved them and that was even without them being switched on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Got them home and switched one on. Connected to my wireless internet straightaway. These items are the biz - forget nintendo ds etc. U have the internet at ur fingertips and everything else you can expect on a typical laptop - word processing, drawing, painting, games, webcam - it's all there. Of course they are Linux based - but so what - they are so easy to use.

Any kid who gets one of these for xmas will be seriously pleased

Great bought this for son and he loves it. Everything he needs. Fantastic for home work. Chatting on line. Surfing the net. Easy to set up. It will not replace your main PC but is a brilliant addition.

Brilliant VFM, but spare battery disappointment
I was looking for a well-priced, light, portable laptop for use on long distance travel. The ASUS Eee PC 701SD fits the bill precisely.

My only disappointment has been the difficulty acquiring the correct spare battery (why have ASUS changed the socket size on an otherwise identical battery?!)
