Have the black version of this kettle and completely agree with other comment about not being able to see how much waters in there and therefore always boiling more than you need to be on safe side.
Poor design, disappointed.
Same again ... confusing "max/min" markings on the side do not help ("Max" underneath the "Min" ?) . To be fair this can be an issue with any fileter kettle because you are putting water into one chamber and it is then dripping down to the boiling chamber. But these guys have got it spectacularly wrong.
Also, the lid is over-engineered and excessively heavy which makes the kettle cumbersome to fill, and the flimsy plastic lid hinges on our one broke after a short while.
Very Poor Design - All Style, No Function - Inhibits Going Green
This item is the stupidest design I have ever seen.
The biggest problem ia that you cant see how much water is already in the kettle. It is also difficult to see when the water has filtered through, because of the frosted design.
In order to use it you have to put a significant amount of water in the kettle - so you can't really just boil one or two cups (or if you try you may end up with just half a cup). Therefore, you are always boiling more water than you need - far from energy efficient.
Compared to our previous Brita filter kettle - it's just rubbish.
The good points;
1) It looks pretty when it's on (?)
2) The filter system allows the water to filter through quite quickly.
The bad points;
Everything else
