If you frequently iron large quantities of ironing consider upgrading your iron to a steam generator or steam station. Steam Generators have a separate water tank that holds approx one litre of water, enough for over an hour's ironing. Water is converted to steam in the tank, rather than in the iron, and pumped at high pressure through the iron. Benefits include uninterrupted ironing, higher steam output (90 grams of steam per minute compared to the standard 50 grams per minute from an average domestic iron) so you'll find ironing easier and faster thanks to the increased density of steam which will tackle even the most stubborn crease. Steam stations are a hybrid of a steam generator and a standard iron. Not to be confused with a Steam Generator, Steam Stations store cold water in a separate tank and pumps it to the iron on demand where it is converted to steam.
