The Morphy Richards 'Cold Fill' steam generators feature a separate, large cold water tank that feed the powerful boiler units on demand. The 2200w 'Jetstream' has a removable water tank that holds one litre of water, enough for over an hour's ironing and it features an anti-scale cartridge which removes impurities from the water, prolonging the iron's life. An indicator light on the tank lets you know when the anti-scale cartridge needs replacing and five replacement cartridges are included with every appliance. It has auto shut off that activates when the iron has been left idle for peace of mind. A smooth stainless steel soleplate ensures that the iron has excellent glide and the comfortable soft grip handle makes the whole ironing experience less of a chore.

Wizz through ironing
I bought this iron about a year ago and it really makes light work of ironing clothes.

The large water reservoir ensures you don't have to take unnecessary breaks to fill it up. Some other models require you to wait until the iron has cooled down before you can refill the reservoir - not with this model.

I've never used the 3 steam setting option as I always have it on 'maximum'.

It's important that you use this with a mesh type ironing board (as opposed to the cheaper wooden boards) which allows the steam to pass right through the clothes you are ironing.

Make sure you change the water filters regularly - I change mine every 4 months based on my usage and water hardness. The filters cost around £9 for 5 from Morphy Richards's website.

I'm very happy with this iron especially since I paid around £60 in a sale for it. So happy that I bought another one for a friend!

Makes light work of Ironing
This iron is certainly one of the best items I have ever purchased. The iron heats up pretty much instantaneously and on the maximum setting produces enough steam to only iron one side of most items!

Without a doubt I would recommend this to anyone.

brown stains on laundry and with 2 different units
Interesting again.... I have also been baffled by this iron, and have now a replacement, as the first one was faulty. Same problem with the second, and I had the identical experience as 'Kate' (see below) except I tried again. It is quite a problem, as we are running a small B&B and it is essential to keep white sheets white. Morphy Richards also advised me this kind of thing 'never happens' and were 'very surprised' and ... impossible cause it was stainless steel - the first one I had started to rust around the plate as well as emit brown stains when least expected.. only thing is I tried a second time, and have now more stained white (newly purchased!) linens. It is going back for full refund, for sure.

Certainly would not recommend...second time of using it chucked dirty brown water all over my white linen! I phoned Morphy Richards who advised me that this was impossible from a new iron, so they said the only way this could have happened was if I was sold a re-conditioned iron! Needless to say I returned the iron for a full refund. Choose another product."
