THIS IS SUCH A GOOD BOOK
From the outset, this book defines and explains, with reference to diagrams, photographs and scientific authority, the world of plyometrics. If you are interested in improving your explosive speed, simply follow the twelve week programme contained within and you will soon see the results. Almost every sport is catered for with specific programmes for each one. The author writes in a coherent, simple and concise manner which made understanding the subject matter easy. Overall this is a very good book with good photographic illustrations of each exercise and drill accompanied with an authoritative text on the benifits and risks of following such a programme. Outstanding!
Covers nearly everything!
Excellent book. Has got plenty of exercises, with step by step descriptions. Definately worth buying if you want to work with Plyometrics or teaching it.
Great reference
This is a very useful book with some great information on the background of plyometrics and the physiological side of plyometrics.
The only couple of negatives i have against this book is that the pictures and descriptions left me still unsure how to competently complete the technique as plyometric movement are obviously quite complicated and correct form is vital.
The only other negative is that there could have been more information in the exercise descriptions on what the particular exercises were useful for and what sports they could help with, especially with the upper body exercises.
All together though this was a great book for learning some really useful exercises, it will be my first reference i turn to whenever implementing any plyometrics into my or my clients programs.
