It does work!
Having read the other reviews after I had bought this i though i should offer some words. I think it does work. I did 2 out of the 3 cardio work outs 4 or 5 nights week for 3 months (yes it is a lot but it is only 30 or so mins) and lost a stone and a half. and no i wasn't dieting at the same time, just watching what i ate. it did get a bit tedious after a couple of months and i knew all the words and the few miscounts and tried to record the sound on tape and watch another chanel- but after three months any DVD gets tiring! i didn't bother with the muscular work as i didn't want to build muscle which i do very easily so the cardio was great. i am back on the routine again now and am feeling good because I know it works for me and I enjoy it. The routines are good and fun and can be done hi or low impact. i enjoy working out to this.
Great Exercise For A Rainy Day
Originally I was put off this exercise work out by some of the reviews on this site. My original Patsy Palmer video then gave up the ghost, so what the hell I bought this one. I only do it on rainy days. It fits in well around my cycling and running. It's a change from the norm and it's fun to do. 45 minutes went so quickly and I also felt like I'd been working hard. You can work at your own pace, so it's also ideal for beginners. However, you do need to know what muscles you should be stretching in the 'melt down' because they don't talk you through them. Overall an excellent choice for a work out routine. Strongly recommended.
Disappointing
This falls into the category of "tried it once - wish I could get my money back". I do a number of exercise videos at home, including step, aerobics and yoga, but I'm not superfit or anything. This one promised to help lose weight/burn fat etc., but I honestly didn't feel in the slightest bit "pushed" by it. Not only was it insufficiently challenging, the routine was pretty dull, and the setting/photography was dire. If you've never exercised before you might find it a gentle introduction, but there are numerous better videos offering routines which you can progress with.
