Manufacturer's Description
Do you have difficulty opening cans. The Kenwood electric can opener is the answer to your problems. It will open most sizes and shapes, it can be used hands free because the can is locked in, the blade starts cutting with a light push of the lever and it even stops itself when the lid is removed. It has a magnet to prevent lids falling into the food and the blade can be removed for easy cleaning. For added safety it has non slip feet and even has a bottle opener and a knife sharpener.

Floating Lids
Had this opener for a few months now. It works well but it can be al little difficult at times to get the tin in the correct position for opening. The magnet which is supposed to catch the tin lid sometimes fails to connect leaving the lid floating in your tin of soup etc. Build quality is good.
Just the Best
I have had one of these can openers (in Chrome) for many many years and I have to say it was a little (and I mean only a little) difficult to get used to where the can should sit before starting the opening. I have arthritic fingers and can't use a manual can opener, my daughter bought this for me for mothers day and I have never looked back, it is still going. It really is Just Cantastic!!!
perfect for the job
Bought as a replacement for the Kenwood can opener I've had for more than 10 years. With 4 cats to feed, plus many visiting moggies, and of course cans for my use, that's been a whole lot of cans to open. The Kenwood has served me very well for all these years. I have replaced the original with an updated model, and passed the "old" one on to a friend, as it is still in perfect working order. I just wanted to update the model.
I paid less for this can opener than I did for the original in 1995!
