Why use a Rowing Machine?
Cardio Vascular Fitness
Cardiovascular exercise is the number 1 way to improve your general health, burn body fat and increase your fitness levels. Assessing your cardiovascular goals is the first step and understanding a little about intensity levels will ensure that the time invested in your exercise sessions returns the greatest benefits, rather than a hit and miss approach.
Cardio for good health: This form of exercise is for those wishing to improve quality of life and general well being and is the one for you if you are not out to break any land speed records. Gentle ‘good health’ cardio training will increase your fitness level to a degree, helping you get through day-to-day tasks more easily and with more energy.
Cardio for weight loss: To see a significant reduction in body fat, your sessions must be a little more intense (between 60 and 70% of your estimated maximum heart rate) than that required for a good health approach. These sessions can also be performed on most days of the week for up to 30 minutes and should ideally be supplemented with some form of strength training.

Not very sturdy and not good for taller people!
My husband and I got this rower as a wedding present and ended up returning it after a week. We both exercise a lot and wanted a good quality sturdy rower and this was anything but. It felt flimsy to the touch and badly made, and my husband at 6'2" was far too tall for it (this didn't appear to be a problem in the item description). All in all, we both agreed it may be suitable for someone who plans to use it very infrequently, but it's no good for anyone who really wants to get in shape.
Not great
I got this as a Xmas present last Christmas and only started t use it after moving home at the end of January however already the thing is starting to fall apart. The little wheels inside the rower which guides the seat up and down the length have started to fall apart and gives a very bumpy ride and sticks on occasion. I don't think the machine has much more life in it. I've only been using it upto twice a week for the last three months and I'm not mr blobby just someone trying to keep fit. All in all I wouldn't recommend it.
Excellent piece of kit for a really good price
Firstly, I would like to state that I understand where taller people might be coming from complaining about the length. However, I am 5ft 10 and it fits me perfectly with a few inches to spare.
I have been after a rower for a while and this is the ideal peice of kit for smaller home gyms. It fits well in any room gives u everything you need for a good 15-30mins cardio workout/warmup before other excercise.
I always like to keep in shape and I prefer rowers to treadmills for cardio as you can help pump your arms at the same time.
In summary, this gives you everything you need, however, i suggest for those that have the space and can afford it, go for the larger more comprehensive rowers for a more comfortable, longer workout
