TomTom Carrycase
I blame myself. Having read the many reports criticising the zip on this case, I decided it couldn't be as bad as that, so I went ahead and bought one. I told my wife as I opened the packaging that I would need to be careful because it was meant to be fragile when ,lo and behold ,the little puller came off in my hand. I think it's ridiculous that an item selling at this price has had such a basic design flaw for so long.

A must have, protection for your sat nav.
After having the TomTom GO 920 I was surprised the GO 520 did not come with a case, so I begrudgingly shelled out for this case, I was glad I did as the lage screen of the 520 is likely to get damaged without protection. The case it's self is a good snug fit, the zip can be a little tight especially around the corners of this semi hard shelled case; however with a little care it works just fine. All in all a must have.

A not so bad, must have.
This is an essential extra for the Tomtom Go. The first time you drop your expensive little box of tricks on the road you will wish you had one of these. The price of around £12 from Amazon seems like a fair price for the quality and protection.

The Tomtom fits nice and snug in the case, but there is no padding. Protection relies on the tough plastic the case is made of, which I must say, seems adequate up till now. The zip (which was a worry, having read other reviews)appears to work fine with no obvious sign of weakness. The only possible problem could result from not opening the zip fully before opening the case. This would pull the zip apart and potentially damage the zip. Another thing is to make sure is that you attach the strap to the loop provided and not to the zip.

So if your choice is buying this or possible damaging your Sat Nav, there's not much to think about, but I don't think you will be disappointed with the apperance or quality of protection. I am more than happy with this case and that's why I took the time to submit a review.

As previously mentioned I was disappointed that Tomtom do not supply this with the Sat Nav as standard kit. After all, you pay enough for the Sat Nav.
