Synopsis
Uniting the latest in high-tech experiments, including data from his own research, with teachings of mystics and theories of quantum physics, Radin explores a myriad of phenomena - from ESP to ghosts to psychokinesis.

True science - an invitation to look at the world with a open mind
Never once does Radin fall into the trap of ego to speculate, interpret or otherwise try to build a "new world view" of his personal opinion. Instead here is scientific research presented in its pure form. At every avenue he invites the reader to examine for himself, he backs every claim up with the relevant research, detailed methods etc.
I find this a most important book and urge everyone to read it, if you are a sceptic or a romantic believer, a scientist or a layperson, not only the information and irrefutable scientific proof that something very important has been consistently overlooked or sidestepped by fundamental science for a very long time, but also his meticulous unbiased approach is a benchmark for many future writers to emualte.
Review by a sceptic
What is fascinating about The Conscious Universe is simply Dean Radin's apporach at interpreting data from hundreds of experiments that put the controversial psychic phenomena under the microscope.
Dean, doesn't claim that psychic phenomena are just real, nor does he get carried away by the common belief that psi is impossible. He just checks it out for himself and inteprets the result in a very scientific manner. As someone who has studied Advanced Maths and with a highly scientific background I find the interpretation of the statistics used to conform with those used in other areas of science. Even the methods used to make the experiments fair and relevant is what a demanding, unbiased scientist would have done.
The results though are fascinating and mathematically significant. I urge every science lover to not just read this book, but even to keep it.
It would of great benefit for us who love the scientific method of understanding the world; to realise that having a valid opinion about what we can't currently explain requires looking at the evidence first, rather than believing other people's beliefs (about the inexistence of psi in this case) simply because they are commonly held.
An Impressive Work
I wasn't expecting much from another book of this sort, since most of the competition isn't worth the money, but the scientific approach used by Radin is impressive. Despite being such a controvertial subject, Radin manages to mix his obvious enthusiasm for the subject with an objective scientific method producing some amazing results. Assuming the results are accurate (and due to the thorough nature of work, I assume they are), it would prove to be a tremendous blow to the very foundations of modern physics.
I was so impressed by this book, I read it in only 3 days, and have already ordered "Entangled Minds", also by Radin. I recommend this book wholeheartedly.
