Very basic introduction to navigating with US maps2
This book lays out the basics of navigating very clearly. Unfortunately, it is based on the North American map technology that may confuse some people new to the subject who will be using UK maps from Ordnance Survey. The techniques are described well but not in detail and could benefit from more examples. A buyer wishing to use this book to learn the basics would be better off buying a paper version that could be referenced with map and compass out in the field where they need to practice the techniques and to buy a text that is specific to the UK maps from Ordnance Survey.

This is not a book for anybody who has some basic experience and is looking to become expert in this area.
