Popular with a nine-year old boy
My nine-year-old son loves these stories, and will actually read on beyond the minimum number of pages I tell him he has to get through, which is a huge endorsement. There are still plenty of pictures to help young readers, but you won't find one on every page, so this series of books is ideal when a child first moves on to serious reading.
