None Durable Map
I took this map on a 5 day walking holiday around Mallorca and found that after the first day the waxy layer of the map actually came off. Mallorca is a great place for walking, but it is not the friendliest environment. What I mean by that is that there are rocky paths, scrambling, very scratchy bushes and heat. The map does not well if in contact with sweat, the surface is just coming off. The folds aswell started to disintegrate after 5 days.
The content of the map itself did not seem to have all the tracks and paths on it. If you are a hillwalker like myself, and if you expect something like a Ordance Survey Map , this is definitely not the map for you. There are other maps available which are better and you can buy them everywhere on Mallorca.
I am going to keep mine as a momento, but as I plan to return to Mallorca in the future I won't be bringing this map.
simply unbeatable
We used this incredible map with Walk Mallorca North & Mountains by Charles Davis. Both book and map proved to be a bargain, working well on all the routes we managed in a two week October break, but the map is really in a class of its own.
Accuracy is brillant, confirmed by my Garmin 76 gps, and the colouring makes all the essential features stand out and easy to read. Easily the best map of the region but it goes even further. Super-Durable it really is being waterproof and seemingly everything proof, a real boon compared to use paper maps that fall apart as soon as you open them; after two weeks intensive use it still folds up like new. Definite buy whichever guide book you are using
