Editorial Reviews
Amazon.co.uk Review
This horrible misfire from the usually reliable writer-director Andrew Bergman (The Freshman) has nothing funny, provocative, timely or interesting to say (despite being based on a novel by Carl Hiaasen) once Demi Moore gets her clothes off. Moore plays a single, unemployed mum caught up in a custody battle who elects to make some money by stripping at a club. The character's troubles don't end there, however: her ex-husband is posing a threat, and a perverted congressman (Burt Reynolds) is looking for more than a lap dance. Bergman's great wit is nowhere in sight, and the film primarily becomes another opportunity for Moore to function like a special effect. --Tom Keogh, Amazon.com

Synopsis
When a Miami mom loses her job as a secretary, her lowlife ex-husband is awarded custody of their young daughter. Taking a job as a stripper to raise enough money for a court appeal, she unwittingly attracts the obsessive and insistent attentions of a crazed, slavering U.S. Congressman. Adapted from the comic novel by Carl Hiaasen. The uncut version contains footage not seen theatrically in North America.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!
Boy I bet Demi Moore regrets making this film. What an awful story. A mother needs the money so has to do some stripping which she would rather not do (of course!) and we are there with cameras to see all the action of her dancing topless in a thong.
So I am supposed to feel so sorry for her and can find some empathy with her character. Yea right!!!! Burt Renolds is totally awful in this film. He should be retired. Permantely!
The whole film is a living joke. At least in Showgirls they didn't pretned they didn't enjoy it. People say that is a bad film - but this doesn't just take the biscuit - it takes the whole packet.
Avoide if you want to watch a decent film.
Watch if you want to see Demi Moore make a fool of herself and have a laugh at her dancing topless.

Awful
I caught this film on television which was the only good thing about it: I didn't have to spend any money for it. A few minutes into the film I realised I shouldn't have spent any time on it either. I switched the telly off and did the washing up instead, which was much more fun.
Boring and completely unoriginal story, bad (REALLY bad) performances, and unispired direction/storytelling. It wasn't even remotely sexy.
