Customer Reviews

Review of Canterbury Tales5
This DVD is brilliant. The short films, originally on TV, last about 60 minutes and bring Chaucer up to date and manage to capture the mood of the original text. 'The Miller's Tale' is most remembered and particularly well cast. The other tales are cleverly written and well acted. All the tales can be watched over and over again as they, like the originals, are complex and have subtle meaning. Excellent value entertainment - a good buy.

Julie Walters is sexy in The Wife Of Bath5
Julie Walters is great in this steamy version of The Wife Of Bath. Although there is no nudity seen, it is pretty explicit for a made-for-television production. If you are a fan of Julie Walters, don't miss this segment of The Canterbury Tales.
