Customer Reviews

superb5
Best film i've seen in the last couple of years without a doubt. A marriage of convenience between a couple of lost souls which can only end in disaster. This really is a thought provoking film which has plenty of tender moments between the lead characters who both happen to excell. Also happens to have one hell of a soundtrack too.

harrowing but fascinating4
A fascinating look at Turkish immigration to Germany - would seriously recommend it. All the acting in excellent and the story takes you to some strange places. The scene with Sylvia and the three guys in the street is jaw-dropping. Not exactly uplifting, but strangely not depressing either.

Crazy in Love5
I came across this film by accident when it was shown on BBC 4. Thought the premise was interesting so decided to go along for the ride. So glad I did. Darkly, depressingly romantic and totally compelling. Cahit broods like an aged Michael Hutchence throughout. Highly recommended.
