DVD Description
Henrik Ibsen’s classic theatrical tale of a spirited woman transcends generations in Joseph Losey’s production of A Doll’s House. Nora is the model wife and mother. In desperation, forgery is committed and destruction risked in order to save her husband’s health. As Nora is transformed, one of theatre and film’s most dramatic gestures occurs – she closes the door on her family to begin in a new life alone

Starring Jane Fonda and Edward Fox.

Synopsis
A beautiful woman bids for freedom, when she realises that all her life she has been treated like a doll.

Customer Reviews

No fun1
This play is often performed on stage. Ultimately, it was written as a play and translated from another language, enroute. This film therefore is severely lacking in something. Maybe it is that there is no ending. Maybe it is because Jane Fonda is the lead character. But certainly this film is a complete disaster. The play isn't too hot either! Avoid at all costs. Ninety-minutes of sheer trash.

This fillm was so moving4
THis film version of the play is not half bad. YOu have to take into acount the fact that they had to change it a tiny bit to make it more cinamatic and things, but it seems pretty close to the play to me. I like the cast very much
