oh my god4
i have just come across this film .when i was a teenager i used to watch this film over and over again/and loved it.so im now going to buy it for my teenage daughter/ any excuse for a girly night cant wait to watch it again/ i wonder if the main male star will still be as sexy as i remember lol lol.

Stuck in the 80's?3
Shallow and sugary storyline a la Molly Ringwald, but the main role is played by a young Sarah Jessica Parker(of "Sex & The City" fame)who is delightfully perky in her quest to win a dance contest on television, despite her parents wishes. It's a predictable film, but deserves credit for being so mercilessly upbeat. Worth watching for the comic relief in the form of the 'wacky' best friend, played by a young Helen Hunt(pre-"Mad About You").Look out for the bizarre head gear that she sports in every scene, including some plastic dinosaurs at one stage. No reason is given for the hair adornments, but I guess that they had to make up for the poor storyline somehow. Worth catching this movie with a couple of girlfriends who grew up in the era for some 80's-bashing/reminiscing.
