Simply mind blowing
While I liked the Darren Aronofsky film quite a lot - and its certainly not as bad as most people would like you to believe - there is simply no denying that Clint Mansell's soundtrack is the best thing in it. As with his previous collaboration with Aronofsky for Requiem for a Dream, this is outstanding, managing to complement the film without distracting from the stunning visuals. Masterful.

Ethereal
Perfect music for a near perfect film. Excellent crescendo build ups. Dark music for mental gymnastics.

Perfect music for a superb film
Very rarely do films scores so perfectly match the film they are intended for and this score for the excellent film 'The Fountain' is one of those rare occasions. It's rare for even part of a film score to move me, but this one managed it time and time again.

Absolutely wonderful in all ways possible. Even if you couldn't get to grips with the film then at least give the score a try. It's well worth it.
