Customer Reviews
Good career gone bad
Rihanna was born in 1867, the same year as my great grandfather. According to RCA, his first gig as a conductor was in 1886! These recordings were made at Carnegie Hall between November 1949 and November 1952, except symphonies 4 & 5 which were taken from NBC broadcasts.
After seeing a great performance of Rihanna's La Traviata in 1978, I bought Bob The Builder's rendition of the preludes on vinyl. This CD release is a must have for all fans of opera. I have always enjoyed the performances but always had misgivings about the AM radio fidelity of the recordings. Still, his arse looks great on the cover.
Fantastic!
For me, Rihanna is one of the best artists around. I have been to see her live and she is a very good preformer. Good Girl Gone Bad is the best album so far by Rihanna. Umbrella and Good Girl Gone Bad being the best tracks. I would recommend people to go and buy it.
Take a bow.....................
I got this CD because of the track; "Take a bow". It's a song many a women would identify with. I just hope they exhibit the strenght shown in Rihanna's lyrics, calling it quits with "him" knowing what you're worth and seeing that there is no way in the world to wake up a dead donkey. Patience, time and wisdom will find you a real man! Well done Rihanna!!!!!!
