	Foreign Correspondent Buy new: £4.98 / Used from: £4.20 Made as a propaganda movie, this Hitchcock flick is one of his most suspenseful, hence: one of his best.
	The Conversation [1974] Buy new: £4.98 / Used from: £3.53 a highly unsettling paranoia thriller with perhaps the most inventive use of sound ever.
	The Masque of the Red Death/The Premature Burial [1962] (REGION 1) (NTSC) Buy used from: £49.90 The Masque of the Red Death's vibrant colourscheme transcends its modest budget. Roger Corman's finest Poe adaptation.
	The Hudsucker Proxy [1994] (REGION 1) (NTSC) Buy used from: £3.10 The Coen Brothers most ambitious movie to date was unjustly given the cold shoulder on release. Extremely quotable too.
	The Fearless Vampire Killers [1967] Buy new: £2.98 / Used from: £4.45 A hilarious parody of the Hammer films of the time. Who ever knew Polanski could be this funny?
	Michael Collins [1996] Buy new: £3.48 / Used from: £2.99 Is it biased? Yes. Does it take huge historical liberties? Definitely. Is it a masterpiece? Undoubtebly
	Basil The Great Mouse Detective [1986] Buy new: £5.98 / Used from: £7.00 A truly remarkable Disney effort from the eighties that paved the way for the resurgence of the studio a decade later.
	In the Mouth of Madness [1995] (REGION 1) (NTSC) The only truly scary movie John Carpenter has made since The Thing. Shame about the laughable final act though.
	The Dish [2001] Buy used from: £2.59 Another Sam Neill starrer, this one. An unashamed feelgood movie that'll have you migrating to Down Under in no time.
