	Pride And Prejudice : Complete BBC Series - 10th Anniversary Edition [1995] [2005] Buy new: £7.50 / Used from: £7.99 The Ultimate in Costume Dramas. This is the one that got me hooked (when I was about 12). Its full of wit, wonderful characters, hateful characters, and just seems to me to embody the book. Wonderful.
	Sense And Sensibility (Collector's Edition) [1996] Buy new: £4.98 / Used from: £3.45 Another classic Austen adaptation. Emma Thompson's script is wonderful and Kate Winslet in particular delivers a passionate performance.
	Persuasion : Complete BBC Adaptation [1995] Buy new: £10.98 Ok, Ciaran Hinds is a bit old to be a heartthrob for me but I just love the way this one plays out. Quietly effective.
	Wives And Daughters [1999] Buy new: £10.98 I found this after loving North and South and it didn't disappoint. Not as dramatic as some costume dramas but I like its more domestic focus.
	North And South : Complete BBC Series Buy new: £7.51 / Used from: £7.48 Mr Thornton! swoon Can it get any better than this? Right up there with Pride and Prejudice! Apart from the wonderful romance I love the grimy dirty underbelly of the Cotton Mills.
	Northanger Abbey [2007] Buy new: £4.98 / Used from: £3.62 A recent favourite. I really like this take on the novel, especially lovely Mr Tilney (sigh). The gothic fantasy sequences as well are wonderful!
	Pride & Prejudice - 2005 Buy new: £3.98 / Used from: £2.20 I grudgingly bought this. To my surprise its much better than I expected. Not the same as the BBC one just a different interpretation of the novel and Knightley is surprisingly good.
	Casanova Buy new: £12.14 / Used from: £10.99 Ok, not in the same vein as the others but just as wonderful. Its absolutely hilarious! David Tennant is simply fantastic.
