It does the job
Yep, it does the job all right. It's not cheap, and the construction is quite flimsy feeling, which doesn't go too well with the solid construction of my AV500. It's fairly intuitive to use, I only had to flick through the instructions briefly. FM reception untested (I live in "Dark territory": Sunlight only just gets here, let alone FM radio). Amazon was the cheapest I could find it, and delivered quickly (as always).
Two Niggles:
1) The case provided has no cutouts for the remote, so you can't use the remote with the case closed.
2) The remote plug fits in such a way on my AV500 that the wire points in a very inconvenient direction. It makes using the machine in a top pocket rather awkward.
I needed it, but 3 stars only.

Excellent, convenient, highly recommended
Hi, I bought this a few months ago for £30. The first thing you note is how solid the unit is and has a nice bright funky display. Plugging my headphones straight into this did not result in any degradation of sound quality. Best of all, the radio reception is fantastic - even on the overland London tube! It also looks cool.Highly recommended if you have an AV 400 or even the G Mini range.
