One Star
Before buying Studio Instruments I read pretty much everything there is -
this included the online video tutorials on Cakewalk's website. Amazing audio software, and it is a great product, but on my computer it will stop working after 30 days as the software won't allow me to complete the registration process. Basically the registration process is combined with three things: install the software and enter Serial Number, start program and register online to get an activation code, then type in the activation code - the last part is the problem of the matter "typing it in" - yes you may wonder what the problem is, so do I...that registration field where you type in that activation code remains disabled and the program will stop working after 30 days.
The matter has by the way NOTHING to do with Amazon, I want to make sure that the reader understands it. It is a matter relating to the makers of Studio Instruments (Cakewalk).
However good Studio Instruments is, it was to me a sobering experience, to say the least and a pricy one...
Excellent for the money
Nice sounding instruments, a lot more variety than you'd expect, particularly on the drums. Excellent for the money. There are good demos of the instruments on YouTube. It would have been nice to have an acoustic rather than electric piano, but I doubt they could have done that for so little money.
I had a similar problem to another reviewer in registering the product, so I phoned Cakewalk and they sorted it - it was a while ago so I can't remember how.
