Customer Reviews

disappointing3
This is really disappointing as the band deserve better from a label that clearly have no interest in them, no wonder they signed to another one! The classics are all here but there has been no effort to sequence it or to make this a dvd; there is no menu, no extras and it's like watching an old vhs tape from which it has clearly been transferred. The first three singles Take On Me, Sun Always Shines and Train of Thought are meant to be viewed as a triptych (for the eagle eyed, they each pick up where the other left off but the videos are not chronological which means they are lost in translation). Despite this being repackaged, there is no video for Dark Is The Night or any from Minor Earth (though these are available as extras on the excellent live homecoming dvd) or Lifelines. Why bother repackaging with no extra content? Seems a missed opportunity.

Most of the tracks from the album plus a few others5
I was very pleased with this (VHS) video, having loved the "Take on Me" video back in the 80s. Somehow it never seemed to be shown in it's entirety on TV, and seeing it again instantly reduced me to a starstruck teenager! My 4 year old loved this too, and keeps asking to watch it again. My only slight gripe is that not all the tracks from the H&D audio CD are included - I am sure there's a good reason, but try explaining to a 4 year old why her particular favourite song isn't included! Still, worth the money for "Take on Me" and "Cry Wolf" alone.

Most Underated Band In The Last 15 Years4
I have always liked Morten Harkets Voice and this Dvd only proves once again that a-ha are incredibly talented. It includes 90% of their hits but unfortunately does not include any new material from their new album - Major Earth Major Sky. There is no angle options on this dvd but it has subtitles and is a fantastic investment.
