Golden Stone5
That Ms Stone (nee Brown) has never quite hit the BIG big time is a mystery.

Her 2006 appearance on Celebrity Fit Club would not necessarily have helped matters.

The real reason however is more likely to be a musical one.
Ms Stone's choice of material is just a little too far to the left of the mainstream to
have guaranteed her a place in the pantheon of great soul divas.

Uncompromising quality lays at the heart of her previous three releases and
'The Art Of Love And War' is no exception.

The warm, laid-back, velvety quality of her voice imbues all 14 tracks of this
splendid little album with a soft golden sheen.
Her tone, phrasing and the fluid elegance of her consummate interpretive
ability are never anything less than classy and credible.

Standout tracks include beautiful opening song 'Take Everything In' -
vintage Stone; 'Baby', a softly lilting duet with Betty Wright; 'These
Are The Reasons', with its' gorgeously layered vocal harmony arrangement;
the upbeat, short-but-sweet 'Play Wit It', an R&B barnstormer worthy of
comparison with the estimable Ms Khan; 'Wait For Me', for my money, the
sweet beating heart and soul of this fine new project.

The suberb musicianship and production skills evident on the album
are consistently slick and sympathetic throughout.

Highly recommended.

Angie does it again but BETTER!5
Angie Stone is a true artist and makes me weep - there is awesome power, feeling, depth and beauty in how magnificantly she sings. My two favourites are Baby and Sometimes.

WOW! Does not express how truly great this lady is. For the true soul connoisseurs.
