Album Description
Still only 26 years old, Craig David has earned a reputation as one of the UK's foremost talents, as well as one of the nation's most successful musical exports. He's now poised to return with a new album `Trust Me' on November 12th, already being heralded as his finest since the 2000 debut set `Born To Do It'.

`Trust Me' will be previewed by the release of the single `Hot Stuff (Let's Dance)', which combines Craig David's inimitable vocal gift with irresistible funk-infused beats and a sample of David Bowie's classic track `Let's Dance'.

Recorded in Havana, Cuba with producer Martin Terefe (KT Tunstall, James Morrison) and writer/producer/mixer Fraser T. Smith (Craig David, Kano, Beyonce, Plan B, Jamelia), the track `6 of 1 Thing' emphasises how Cuban musical culture influenced his new work, whilst the ballad `Awkward' (highlighting guest vocals from a female west London star-to-be) features some of his most evocative lyrics to date. Other highlights include the infectious hook and insistent rhythms of the title track, and `She's On Fire' which combines sublime bass with Craig's fluid lyrical flow.

Since becoming a global phenomenon with `Born To Do It', Craig David has become a huge UK superstar with two #1 singles (`Fill Me In' and `7 Days') and a further ten appearances in the Top 10. All three of his albums have been chart hits: `Born To Do It' (#1), 2002's `Slicker Than Your Average' (#4) and 2005's `The Story Goes...' (#5).

A multiple-award winner who has earned three Ivor Novello Awards (including Songwriter of the Year and Best Contemporary Song), four MOBOs (one of which was for Best UK Act) and two MTV Europe Awards, Craig David has worked with a talented array of artists including Sting and Artful Dodger's Mark Hill and Pete Devereux. Craig David also recently featured on Kano's Top 20 single `This is The Girl'.

review on craig david5
very good i would recomend this cd to all the craig david fans, well worth it

Without a doubt the best album I have bought this year.5
Craig David returns with a new look and a fresh new sound with his 4th studio album "Trust Me" which includes his most recent top ten hit "Hot Stuff (Let's Dance)" and brilliant collaboration with Kano, "This Is The Girl".

I loved "Hot Stuff" upon release and was expecting big things from "Trust Me". And, it's safe to say that it doesn't disappoint! "Hot Stuff" is by no means the only song on the album which will make a successful chart single. The album is full of clever, catchy songs (with its perfect blend of soulful ballads and upbeat dance floor-fillers), the majority of which are more than capable of being chart hits.

For me, it's almost impossible to choose a favourite track, however, some of the highlights of the album include, "She's On Fire", "6 Of 1 Thing", "Officially Yours" and "Kinda Girl For Me". The first two, in particular stand out and should definitely be released as singles in the near future.

Although there aren't many, it annoys me to see negative reviews of this album - which all compare "Trust Me" with Craig's last 3 albums. I know that any album that Craig releases will always be compared to his debut, "Born To Do It", but in my opinion, "Trust Me" can't really be compared because it's so different (but in the best way possible). "Born To Do It" was released in 2000 - we're now in 2007. Not only has music changed in these last 7 years, but obviously Craig has too. This album proves just how much he has grown and matured as an artist - demonstrating his unbeatable, flawless vocals, exceptional music writing abilities and touching, soulful lyrics - showcasing Craig perfectly, proving that he's in it for the long-haul.

All I can say is 'Buy it'! You won't be disappointed.

Includes one of the top tracks of 2007!5
Having not heard much from CD for some while, he has suddenly burst back onto the scene with this pleasant mix of ballad and dance. I got this on the back of hearing the opening track while having MTV on in the background and, for the first time this year, suddenly looking up with a 'Whoa, what's this?!' moment.

There are no disappointing tracks here, and CD's voice is as smooth and soulful as ever. He's the X-factor winner Cowell and co could only dream of finding in their annual trawl of the hopeless and talentless. Trust Me has current pride of place on my iPod and likely to be for some time
