Buy new: £4.98 / Used from: £2.25 The official "Favourite Band", I could listen to Bloc Party all day. So Here We Are and Positive Tension are my favourites of the album, but there is not one skippable song. Spikey art indie genius.

 | Men's Needs Women's Needs Whatever by Cribs
Buy new: £4.98 / Used from: £4.00 Oh, the Jarmans. Their accents are amazing, their music underated indie classics in every song. Ryan Jarman must remain on the fridge.

 | I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning by Bright Eyes
Buy new: £4.91 / Used from: £5.99 The first Bright Eyes album I really loved, IWAIM is the most warm and accesable of Conor's work, but also the most country-ish.

 | Fevers and Mirrors by Bright Eyes
Buy new: £4.98 / Used from: £3.80 Officially my favourite BE album. A dark, beautiful and highly emotional masterpiece, and the fake interview is hilarious.

 | Lifted Or the Story Is in the Soil Keep Your Ear to the Ground by Bright Eyes
Buy new: £4.98 / Used from: £5.14 The lyrics, people, the lyrics. Amazing, I think is the word. I feel like I haven't bonded with Lifted as much, but none the less it is a prime example of the excellance of Bright Eyes.

Buy new: £9.98 / Used from: £6.87 PW is most definatley in the top 3 (as are Bloc Party and Bright Eyes). WITW is my favourite PW album, it's hard to believe one guy could be so talented. Simply perfect.

 | Unknown Pleasures by Joy Division
Buy new: £5.04 / Used from: £2.95 Great revison music. Goes with the mood of the acitivity. She's Lost Control is my all time favourite JD song, but New Dawn Fades is also a highlight of a perfect, beautifully haunting album.

 | Oracular Spectacular by MGMT
Buy new: £7.98 / Used from: £6.97 MGMT lead me to The Holy Mountain, so they are, of course, amazing. This album covers a variety of styles (from electro indie to seventies rock) but Time to Pretend and Kids are best.

 | The Magic Position by Patrick Wolf
Buy new: £6.48 / Used from: £3.95 When introducing people to the wonder that is PW, it's good to ease them in with the Magic Position. Much poppier and more brightly coloured than WITW, it's more accessible, but still fantastic.

 | The Queen Is Dead by The Smiths
Buy new: £4.98 / Used from: £2.89 There Is A Light That Never Goes out is one my all time favourite songs...ever.This album is amazing, the lyrics and music are catchy but haunting. A great representation of British life.

Buy new: £8.98 / Used from: £7.43 The Conor Oberst of London? The music is indie with a country twist, the lyrics tell of modern life and pop culture in a hilarious, but touching, manner.

Buy new: £4.98 / Used from: £2.99 "Who are you?" "I'm the enchanting wizard of rhythm." Yep. An astounding album, perfect if you're fond of something a little different, and not confined to genre. Best songs: Novacane & Jack-ass.

Buy new: £1.95 / Used from: £3.20 The Horrors are so very cool. The hair, the skinny jeans, the eyeliner. Oh, and the music, which is also very cool. Best songs: She is the New Thing & Gloves. I find Excellent Choice highly amusing

Buy new: £4.97 / Used from: £2.00 Another Revision album. Pure beauty, as I'm sure you all know. No Surprises and Exit Music (For a Film) are my favourites.

 | Fever to Tell by Yeah Yeah Yeahs
Buy new: £4.49 / Used from: £3.03 I love Nick Zinner's hair. Amazing hair. I love the YYYs' punky side (good walking to school music) but it's when things get slower that they really shine. Maps & Modern Romance are heartbreaking

Buy new: £5.98 / Used from: £5.90 I don't think this album was disappointing, I think it was just different to what people were expecting. It's more subtle, more sombre, more quietly beautiful. But you can still jump around.

 | Aha Shake Heartbreak by Kings Of Leon
Buy new: £4.98 / Used from: £3.80 Kings of Leon are a very reliable band. They've been with me since year eight and in times of stress I know that Southern wailing will cheer me up. The Bucket always makes me smile

 | Myths Of The Near Future by Klaxons
Buy new: £2.58 / Used from: £2.15 Oh, Klaxons. The album of 2007, but still great. Pioneers of new rave, this album is full of highly danceable, electronic indie pop gems.

 | Begin To Hope by Regina Spektor
Buy new: £4.98 / Used from: £3.99 Tales of love, loss, and dwarves from the New York songstress. The track most people imediately notice is Fidelity, but Samson is my perosnal favourite.

 | The Velvet Underground and Nico by Velvet Underground
Buy new: £3.19 / Used from: £3.36 This album (a necessity for everyone) will now forever remind me art coursework. (Just 'cause I was listening to it - nothing to do with Warhol) Still amazing though, even if my mother sings along.

Buy new: £4.98 / Used from: £4.28 A modern Joy Division. Well, yeah. But still, despite the questionable lyrics I feel I can always turn to Interpol when I don't know what to listen to. Just so damn well devised.

Buy new: £7.98 / Used from: £4.90 Great to sing along to. I do somewhat wish I was Lovefoxxx, or at least in CSS. It would be so much fun. But alas, I'll just listen to them instead.

 | Making Dens by The Mystery Jets
Buy new: £1.00 / Used from: £4.50 *Limewired* Mystery Jets are a thoroughly lovable band, but then I love quirkiness. You Can't Fool Me Dennis is not only a brilliant title, but also a brilliant song, as is Diamonds.. Nicely different

 | A Weekend in the City by Bloc Party
Buy new: £5.22 / Used from: £4.00 I thought I'd tie off the list with some more Bloc Party. This album is darker, more mature and perhaps prefered to their debut... I love every song. Amazing Band.
