a tad disappointed
took me a fair while to get my hands on this much praised cd but to be honest im a tad disappointed because its not really what i expected, i was hoping it would be cutting edge world music in the same league as ry cooder or ballake sissoko say but in fact its good regional music which is a tad too new agey and catchy/syrupy for me, musicianship is excellent and at least half the tracks are special and may justify the cost but it is definitely not an indispensable classic .

galician celtic latin trad music
whenever i go on holiday,this is the first cd i pack,and definately in my top 20 albums.
berroguetto hail from galicia in spain,galician traditional music is basically celtic music,but with more than the odd marracca thrown in,as it is celtic music with a latin feel to it.
great music and fantastic vocals,an album to relax to.
the stand out songs are transito,k,bailador,and a forza das mareas,but there is not a poor song on this album.
so if you are dreaming of summer and sunnier climes,buy this album,and it will transport you there.
