Hauntingly beautiful
Mari Boine has the kind of voice that gives you goosebumps. Beautifully touching and expressive. The songs on this album are stunning. Every song on this album touches you. A relaxed rhytmic blend of jazz and ethnic instruments. The first song 'i come from the other side' has an amazing and powerful duet of Mari's voice and saxophone, while other songs such as 'hymn' are virtually unacompanied allowing you to appreciated the beautiful simplicity of her voice. The most amazing album Ive heard in a long time.
