Nicola does it again!
FAB FAB FAB Nicola once again pulls out all the stops to make another smasheroonie for Girls Aloud. The others try, but it is always Nicola who gets them hits! Go girls! We love you all really, but are not always sure what Nadine is saying due to her accent, but she looks good so, really, who cares. Girls Aloud can do no wrong!
Another gem to savour
This is the fifth single to be released from the superb 'What Will The Neighbours Say?' album. The irresistible catchiness of 'The Show' and 'Love Machine' has been traded for a much rockier sound and shows the versatility of a group that continues to progress and win over ever more fans.
'Wake Me Up' is the electric rollercoaster ride we have come to expect from Girls Aloud, but with even more thrills on the way as it twists seamlessly from one hook to the next. The winning combination of flawless production from Brian Higgins/Xenomania and unrivalled vocal ability and sheer charisma of the girls themselves has given us yet another gem to savour.
5 Girls, A 5 Star Hit
What is it with Girls Aloud? They are a manufactured group that should have had maybe one more single after getting to number one on the back of all the hype from the tv show that created them. That's what's supposed to happen right? WRONG. Girls Aloud have survived falling into the same pit One True Voice did because they are good. Very Very good. You can't just put this down to brilliant songs, insanely infectious choruses and great musical productions, The girls themselves are so full of confidence and attitude that it's impossible not to like them and all of that is on display on this - their 8th single.
One of the standout tracks on the excellent "What Will The Neighbours say?" Album, this is quite simply their best single to date and considering the quality of the previous 7 is saying something. 3 listens or so of this and it won't leave your head. See the video as well, Sarah, Cheryl, Kimberley, Nadine and (especially) Nicola have never looked so good. This single is just more proof as to why Girls Aloud are going from strength to strength.
