Another Amazing Follow-Up5
"Break the Ice" is the second follow-up single to Spears' "Gimme More", following the ultra catchy "Piece of Me". The single begins with Spears both apologising to her fans for keeping them waiting for so long - which suggests that perhaps "Break the Ice" should have been the first single from the album - and also to the man she is singing to.

The song is so catchy and vibrant and plods along through electro and trance infested beats. It is one of the best songs from "Blackout", Spears' fifth studio album, which has been criminally underlooked by many music fans, despite being one of her best - if not her best - albums so far.

The video which accompanies the video suits it perfectly. A cartoon Britney finds herself being chased by villains throughout an unknown city, thwarting their actions and finding her own clone before destroying it. Animated, sexy and cool, it symbolises everything that the song is about: the return of Britney, getting rid of the old and in with the new.

If you enjoyed her previous singles, you'll enjoy this even more and if this does not encourage you to go out and buy "Blackout", then I do not know what will!

Warm Up To Me5
Dear Ms. Britney,
Like Dolly and Whitney; I will always love you. This is a effing brilliant track I would have never thought you'd grow to make. For a while I was scared you'd be the World's next Tiffany or even worse Martika (Who!? Exactly). This is reminiscent of something Janet Jackson (whom I know you personally like; look at you taking queues from your forebarers Miss Thang!) would have put out before she delved into her G-Spot for every damn album. Girl, I was there for you for the "Gimme More" video and I ain't gonna quit you because I actually like you conceptualizing your own vids, even though most others can't see it makes you multi-faceted.
*Sniffle...Britney I am scared however that you will release this single with no remixes and only the equally stunning (and single-worthy in its own right) Eurhythmics sampling "Everybody". Doll, SX!PPY needs him the remixes to gyrate round the D-Floor like a manic wh...well Sugastar you get what I mean. I see there are many hot DJs remixing it - Kaskade, Jason Nevins, Tracy Young; but how can lil ol' me get my SX!PPY fingers on those without going the download route?
I look forward to your next releases - "Radar", "Toy Soldiers (fingers crossed and praying to Mel Gibson, although he hates Jews and I'm Jewish but he seems to be reaching out to you)". Seriously though my Southern Fried Sweetness, please release your SX!PPY some remix!!! You don't want this rump to stop shakin' do you? Only in a world so cruel...

Single #3 to continue sucessful trend!4
Well here we go, the third single from 'Blackout'. This single is pure pop perfection. Catchy and satisfying to listen to there is nothing here not to like. The single is produced by Danja, producer of 'Gimme More' and several other cuts of the album. It's upbeat, it's fun, it's a little different from the other stuff out there and show equal the sucess of 'Piece Of Me' before it. The single is gaining momentum worldwide and the video is definately something different. This is a turning point for Britney, with a critically acclaimed T.V. sitcom role already done and Britney currently recording new music all that remains is for 'Break The Ice' to become a world wide hit and put Britney right back on top again!
