Brilliant "Styling head" for £10
I got this for my daughter for Christmas and it's brilliant for the money we actually spent on it. These retail at £40 normally and i have seen them in other shops for about £15 at the cheapest, so Amazon are definitely offering the best deal i have seen.

The Barbie styling doll comes with a hairbrush, removable cardboard peacock fan/collar, tiara and four hair accesories. It does NOT come with the lipstick and you can not "record and playback", there is no function for this at all, even though it says it can in the product description above. All this product does is sing and talk to you, via two buttons, one on it's neck and the other by the flower "microphone", which you CAN sing along with Barbie into. (Barbie sings three songs in all and says a variety of phrases) It also has two differant volume levels, combined with the on/off switch. It would have been nice if this product did come with make up, but the head is smaller then the majority of other "styling heads" on the market and i'm sure the three little animals in front of Barbie would probably get in the way of applying make up anyway. Also the removable collar/fan could have been made out of a better quality material, not the cardboard one it comes with, as i can't imagine that staying on good shape for long.

Despite these gripes, myself and my daughter still think it's great fun for the money, and one of the best "styling heads" we have seen around. The hair is lovely, thick and soft to brush and overall the product IS great quality, it's just been advertised wrong. Plus we think it's great that Barbie actually moves her mouth when she sings and talks! A very pretty product, definitely recommended!

Not a Singalong!
I bought this because of the knock down price from amazon to complement some other barbie island princess toys. This singing head is disappointing as the singing voice clarity is ver poor. Although the song it sings is nice enough, its impossible for a child to sing along with it as the words are too complicated and also younger kids can't read yet! The jaw of the head also makes an annoying noise when its singing.

Disappointing
I bought two of these - one for my daughter and one for my neice for Christmas - for 19.99 and 26.99 each. What a disappointment!! The switch for the microphone on both doesn't work, there is no makeup - even though it says on tha packaging there is. All it does is plays snippets of 3 songs, and the mouth moves in time. Needles to say, neither of the two girls have bothered to play with this.
