Finally found a good Paranormal Romance with a great plot! I adore this book.
This book is the second in the immortals series' and having just read both evermore and blue moon I have to say I prefer Blue Moon. Evermore must be read before you read blue moon, however it seems more of an introduction to the plots than a full novel, dont get me wrong I loved it and it is very much like Twilight (which is one of my favourites) but like twilight, Evermore was more to introduce the characters and their relationships which has been expanded on greatly in blue moon.
The series follows the life of 16 year old ever, who after the death of her whole family, moves to a new town, new school and has gained supernatural abilities that allow her to see the aura and hear the thoughts of people around her. This causes her to climb into her shell becoming solitary and isolated, living for nothing but to end the days.. until she meets the devastatingly sexy immortal Damen who turns her life upside down. Of course this is what happens in evermore.
Blue Moon is a lot more complicated, with plots and twists you dont see coming, new interesting ideas and suprising new characters such as the devlish, handsome yet strange Roman who becomes involved in Damen and Ever's lives for all the wrong reasons creating obstacles neither saw coming! almost losing eachother one more than once and evers struggle when everyone turns on her makes blue moon a compelling read. It is similar to Twilights New Moon in many ways but it also has many things new moon lacks and I hope you don't judge this series' based on reviews stating its resemblance to twilight. It is a must read for paranormal romance lovers!
I don't want to give away too much, just take it page by page and try not to get too much of the story out of reviews etc as its much better to experience it with an open mind!
I had a hard time finding books which live up to my scrutiny and preferences, but I definately found a keeper in this one. Other favourites of mine include; Touch the dark (Cassie Palmer series'), Twilight, Kim Harrisons Hollows, Richelle Mead, Patricia Briggs, Laurel K Hamilton and many more I have no time to post! If any of these books/authors hit your buttons I reccomend you give this series a read.
I just pre-ordered the next in this series' and cannot wait until I get it.

Ever is now an immortal, and she's eager to learn everything - from manifesting objects to visiting the paradise Summerland.
Things are looking up for Ever and Damen, who can finally be together. But just as Ever finds her power's growing, Damen's starts to fade. He's becoming weak and he's even starting to forget Ever.
Ever travels to Summerland to save Damen, but while there she discovers she might be able to save her family. Ever must choose which path she'll take and who she'll end up saving.
I really enjoy sequels, but they make me nervous, especially when I loved the first book as much as I did EVERMORE. But Alyson Noel surpassed all my expectations, and not only is BLUE MOON an amazing sequel - it sets the bar for the rest of this series very, very high! When I reached the last page of this one, all I could say was "wow!"
There were numerous twists that kept me guessing. Just when I thought I had things figured out, I would get pulled in a new direction, which kept the book fast-paced and full of suspense - I had to keep turning the pages.
I really liked the addition of Roman and the twins Romy and Rayne that Ever meets in Summerland. They added to the story but still have a lot of mystery surrounding them, so I'm eager to see how the many stories that were weaved together in BLUE MOON will play out.
Another highly recommended book from Alyson Noel, I can't wait to read more about Ever and Damen. THE IMMORTALS series is one you'll want to get your hands on!

not as good as Evermore
Blue Moon wasn't as good as it's prequel EVERMORE...still good, but not AMAZING. Very teenie bopper... and not as much romance as the first.
