Delicious!
When Collette Rossant is moved from her native Egypt and placed into her strict French grandmother's care by her fighty mother, her life becomes lonely and unhappy. But when she gets to know Georgette, the household's kind-hearted cook, she discovers a love of eating and cooking, and her life is turned round.

She cronichles her life in 1950's Paris, her first encounters with boys and romance, her mother's re-marriage to a man who shares her enjoyment of food and how she met and fell in love with her American husband. But throughout, she maintains her passion for good food, and mouth-watering recipes that come from her own childhood are included in the story. A warmly written memoir with an interesting twist, that I completely loved reading.
