Product Description

A Crook Knife is often called a spoon knife and this 164 model has a single edge for right handed users and a lightly oiled Birch handle. The blade is made from high quality Swedish carbon steel. The Mora 164 Crook Knife (previously known as the Frost Crook knife) has a full curve blade with a fine point end that makes this an ideal knife for carving spoons, ladles, cups & bowls or any other woodcarving project that requires gouging. Crook Knife blade length: 52mm Overall Crook knife length: 160mm Weight 51g. What do our instructors think? Here Jo from Woodland Ways Bushcraft & Survival writes: "These crook knives are great and I wish I had discovered them earlier in life as they are such a great hobby..you get a massive sense of achievement from carving your own spoon or cup and these knives make light work of it. The handle is ergonomically designed so it is comfortable in the palm of your hand for long periods of time and gives excellent control of the blade when gouging out wood. They are really easy to use." Advantages: Comfortable to hold and work with, this model is designed for right handed users. Birch Handle gives a good grip and control. High quality Swedish steel blade. Disadvantages: Does not come with a sheath or pouch so you will need to find something safe to store it in. Not the easiest knife to sharpen.
