Review
'If Ray Mears isn't a Great Living Englishman, then goodness me, who is? The man is great, and he doesn't even begin to know how great he is. Ray is a persuader, pragmatist and populariser in the Durrell-Attenborough-Bellamy tradition.' (Robert Crampton, The Times Magazine )
'Ray Mears is a bushman first and foremost and really can survive in any extreme environment. I can't think of a better companion in a crisis.' (Tim Lewis, GQ )

Customer Reviews
If you want a book about Bushcraft skills - DONT bother with this one!
With all due respect to Ray Mears, who has proved beyond all doubt that he is an expert in Bushcraft and Survival, this book was not what I wanted. It is simply the story of Ray and the different people and cultures he encountered on his travells. There are one or two little tips that could be taken from this book, but if its Bushcraft and Survival skills you are interested in, save your money. Ray has written Other books that are far more appropriate for that.
An interesting book overall
An interesting book but it was not quite what i had expected. I thought there was very little information on the techniques shown on the programme e.g. how to make a fire which i was most interested in (but i suppose this isn't a skill which i actually need!)
Ray Mears Bushcraft - first-class reading
Compliments the T.V. series completely. Well written with spectacular pictures, a toughly enjoyable and inspirational read.
