Easy, pretty and useful!
Bought this after looking online and getting advice from the Apple pros in the store. Very nicely made and simple to click into place. I had seen a few reviews online saying it was difficult to remove so I tried it right away - took about 10 second to remove top and bottom so no problem there. If you're a purist it will protect from surface damage, or if you're like me it gives you an excuse to put stickers (my business logo, honest!) on your MacBook. It's the only protection I could find that is in place while using the laptop, in case of an accidental drop or slip.

My first impressions after a few weeks of having this on my macbook is that I'm impressed.

Not sure why I went for the red over the clear but once it was on, my macbook looks like a totally different machine and I don't regret it. Putting it on is very straight forward as it just clips on. Getting it off is a little tricky but do-able, it certainly doesn't feel like its going to fall off at a moments notice.

It adds very little to the size and weight of the case (I can still fit it into my insight slip case, but its a bit of a squeeze now) and just gives the sense of being able to take a few more knocks than before. I've taken to just carrying it around without the slip case and putting it straight into my bag's laptop section as a result.

I was worried about it overheating, but TBH I haven't noticed any increase in temp overall.

The only problem I have had is that the hole for the headphone port is a little small and will not take some of my chunkier 3.5mm jacks, I may have a go with a file at some point to make it a few mm larger so I'm not too fussed as I can get my regular headphones to plug in.

I'm new to Macs and after getting my first Macbook I realised that through continual use it would easily get scratched and marked. I looked online and found this item - and I'm so glad I got it!

It is very well designed, with tiny clips that clip in to the small groove that runs around the keyboard and screen, and the bottom half has hooks that hook into the ventilation gap without blocking it at all.
As to if it makes the Macbook any hotter, I'm not sure yet as I've only just put it on, but on the bottom half there are plenty of gaps for ventilation so I don't see it being a problem.

It does not make the Macbook much heavier or bulkier; it will still fit in the neoprene sleeve I got from Apple.
Also, there seems to be a lot of room for the ports on the side of the Macbook, and the plastic around this area seems to be fairly flexible, so when you plug something in you don't get the feeling that it is brittle and will snap.

All in all, this is a great purchase - if you want to protect your Macbook, you won't regret it.
