Practical support for all those working in classrooms
The first easy to read, understand and implement NLP book aimed specifically at the classroom practitioner. Surely teaching is about communicating with young people, helping them to understand themselves and how to make the most of their talents, and these easy to apply strategies do just these things. Once you use them and see just what a dramatic effect they can have, you wonder why NLP hasn't been at the heart of teacher training from the start. With each new tool you learn, you want to go straight back and give it a go knowing you are going to make a positive difference. And the instant training day chapter lets you pass them on to others easily and with confidence.
Great support for all teachers particularly NQTs
I think this book is fantastic. It clearly enagages the reader through NLP techniques which can directly be applied to all areas of teaching, which can a daunting prospect for a new teacher.
I particularly liked the training exercises at the back of the book, as they can be used at home or in the classroom to refocus yourself and or the class. The language used in the book is very simple and can be easily followed, making the learning process fun and exciting. I really can't wait to put some of these techniques into practise in my class.
Great explanation of NLP and it's application to teaching!
I teach in the FE sector and heard about this book on a course I was on. It provides clear explanations about NLP and cleverly applies them to a teaching and learning conext. It's full of practical ideas that I've been inspired to try and also provides details of research which underpin many of the concepts discussed. It's a great resource for new teachers or those who are interesting in taking their repertoire of teaching skills to new heights!
