Tribute
Made in the year before Fred's untimely death, part 1 & part 2 of Made in Britain I believe are a fitting epitaph to the man. Never having had the pleasure of meeting him, I have had the pleasure of meeting and knowing some of the people featured in the DVD, who all spoke highly of his down to earth approach to engineering, his practical skills and wide historical knowledge.
He never tired of promoting to the younger generations the historical basis of what put the Great into Great Britain.

Fred Dibnah- Made in Britain Parts 1 & 2
The "Made in Britain" Parts 1 & 2 are very well made except the director of the dvd must have been a huge fan of brass band's.
The filming of Fred was really good, except you can hardly hear a word he or his team were saying,due to being drowned out by the brass band's volume, surely the director had more control over the amount of volume of music.
I rate these DVD's at only 2 stars due only to Fred's input, if i wanted to hear a brass band i would have gone to the brass band section of DVD's.
