Customer Reviews
Does exactly what it says on the tin.
Let's be honest, you probably know already if you're going to enjoy this game. Being that it doesnt come with a guitar controller, you must already have Rockband or Guitar Hero (I can confirm that it DOES work with all the Guitar Hero Wii controllers). If you enjoy them, and you love AC/DC as much as I do, then you can't go too far wrong with this trackpack.
I say trackpack, because there isnt that much of a game here, and this is the reason for only the 4-star review. The Xbox 360 and PS3 versions merely add the tracks to the existing Rockband format, but the standalone Wii version is a game in itself. This is both a blessing and a curse, as although you don't need a copy of Rockband to play the game, no further content has been added. It therefore lacks the (slight) depth of the full games. There are no cutscenes or character customisation, and as such it would have been nice to see Angus rendered as the character you supposedly play on stage, but no such luck.
Guitar Hero/Rockband games never had much of a storyline, but the careful splitting up of the tracks made for a nice transition from garage band to full blown stadium rockers. What you get in AC/DC Live is 18 tracks played one after another with zero introduction or congratulations. But hey, you're playing along with AC/DC, and in the end isn't that what really matters?
if you like the music its great
no need for other games ect just buy a w11 gutar or mic and you can be jamming away, great fun
Great for fans of AC/DC
Obviously you are only going to buy this if you like AC/DC. If you do, then get it!
I only have a Guitar controller and found it took a little getting used to after playing Guitar Hero games up until now, but now find it great.
All the songs are available to play straight away, which is good.
Loses one star overall because (1) there are only 18 songs and (2) it doesn't have "A touch too much"!
