Customer Reviews

Other review I feel is a little unfair!3
I felt like I had to write this to even things out as the other review is a little harsh.
Its not a realistic drumming simulator, thats right! But was it ever meant to be?
What you do get here is a great fun rythem game. Lots of good songs (played by a half decent covers band), a workable mechanism (the middle difficulty is the only one that isnt completely boring or ridiculous).
I found the best control method is to use 2 Wiimotes as the nunchuck was not very responsive.
Overall it is a good game. Not as good as guitar hero or Rock Band. But what you get is a decent game that does not need expensive peripherels and is very resonably priced! Lets just hope that if they make another one it has a balance board footpedal functionality, a better game structure and some licensed master songs. Not bad...hopefully a taste of better things to come.

A Big Disappointment1
If, like me, you are a frustrated percussionist, avoid this game if you want to preserve your sanity. The adverts and the packaging promise so much, but the game delivers little. The controls are complicated, starting with the need to hold the Wii remote in the left hand and the Nunchuck in the right, which feels all wrong. Even the simplest of beats requires pressing buttons and waving the controllers simultaneously, with the more complicated songs requiring multiple buttons in addition to the controllers movements. I started off with 'We Will Rock You', which, let's face it is not a difficult beat, but a combination of the strange controls and a slow and fuzzy response to your movements left me getting increasingly frustrated and bored. After half a dozen attempts at what is the easiest song in the game and I had had enough - I'm off to trade it in!!

Give it a chance...its good fun.4
I have really enjoyed this game. I was cajoled into writing this review due to a very unfair earlier review. It has a good variety of songs. The first song is easy and you can choose various difficulties to make each song harder. If you do not take your gaming too seriously and want a good fun family game to add to your game collection then I dont think you will be disappointed. It is much better using two remotes instead of one remote and a nunchuk. There is a multiplayer function also.

If you are expecting to learn how to play the drums properly I would advise getting a drum kit and not this game. However, if you want to have a bit of fun yourself or with the family then this game will be a good addition to your wii collection. If you enjoy the music bit of raving rabbids tv party then I think you will like this. Good choice of songs (Blur, Europe, Bloc Party all feature). If the price came down below £15 would be even better!
