Excellent
This is my first book by Tracey Cox and I have to say, it is steaming hot!
A lot of effort has gone into the design. The hardback cover is really appealing and feels like a good quality book should - it just begs to be read and could easily take pride of place on your bookshelf. The layout is clear throughout and the photography is lovely. It is a shame that a few of the pictures are printed across the centre of the book, making them a little hard to see but it is a small price to pay for such a great book.
For people who are perhaps a little shy about buying something with nude photography - the couples are all gorgeous models shown in loving poses. Whilst the pictures are certainly not modest and are very sexy, they are entirely nonthreatening - there is nothing "graphic" about them at all.
The explanations are great - Tracey's tone keeps things playful but she still gives easy to follow instructions. There are so many things to try, not just the many positions which vary from things everyone knows with a twist to the outright impossible! There are excellent sections on oral and manual techniques with diagrams and some really interesting snippets from the original texts, interpreted in Tracey's familiar style. Just wait until you try the nine thrusts to nirvana!
We have had lots of fun trying the positions, sometimes collapsing in a fit of giggles! But more often, it has lead to some really intimate moments. As an atheist, spirituality is certainly not something I'm into but this book has taken me somewhere new. I think the intent of the original text was about taking your time and connecting deeply with another person - things we can easily forget to do in our busy modern lives.
An excellent modern version of the Kama Sutra, highly recommended.
