Customer Reviews

Clear, Informative and easy to read4
Once I picked up this book, I didn't put it down again before I had finished it. Covering everything from the origins of the breed, to the advantages and disadvantages of choosing a German Shepard, preparing for and collecting your new puppy, as well as basic training, health and care of your new dog. As a first time dog owner, I found this book very useful indeed. It is well written in plain English, giving all the relevant information without confusing you with unpronouncable medical of foreign terms and phrases! Training instructions are clear and easy to follow, even for inexperienced dog owners like me! Throughout the book you will find various facts about the breed which although are not relevant to raising your dog, make very interesting reading. This book is a great start for people wishing to learn about the breed, although it is not written with experienced dog owners in mind. A little lacking in content, although it covers all the important areas, and is inexpensive. Also contains some beautiful photographs. A must for first time dog owners considering choosing a German Shepard.
