About the Author
Roy Allan has owned GSDs for 40 years. He began showing in 1958 and breeding in 1963. Together with Clarissa has bred 8 British and 9 overseas champions. Roy began judging breed in 1969, at championship level since 1973; approved SV judge since 1982. He has judged internationally for many years and was, for four years, Instructor and Examiner for the GSD League Judges Training Scheme and is currently President of the British Schutzhund Association for German Shepherd Dogs (BSA).

Sound Advice
If you are a first time owner of a GSD, this book is a sound investment. It provides you with a basic understanding of the breed history, how to chooose your puppy, basic principles for training to list but some of the content. Although this is a small book, it is full of information which any NEW owner will find invaluable.
