Great product that's not just for the gym.5
I must admit I have not used the Gymboss timer in a gym. It's a simple, easy-to-use programmable timer. You set an interval (e.g. 20 minutes), choose an alarm (audible or vibration) and press "start". It will then alert you once the time is up; choose "auto" mode and it will keep doing this every 20 minutes.

I've used it for two purposes:
1. My chiropractor tells me I should be stretching every 20 minutes. The timer is just the job to act as an automatic reminder.
2. When I'm giving a talk or presentation (part of my job), I set the timer to buzz to remind me to change topic / wind up / whatever. It's a great antidote to long-windedness and it allows me to pace the talk exactly the way I want to.

The only negative comment - I would recommend throwing away the "free" battery that comes with it and replacing it with a decent battery.

Although this product never arived from the seller on amazon, and had to get a refund . i purchased one of these on another site (ebay) and when deliverd was just what i expected. the gymboss is simple to use and easy to program. just key in the duration of your work interval and your rest interval and how many sets you want to do . press start and it goes through them beeping when the timers go down. the intervals can be programed up to 99min work 99min rest and 99 sets. so you can use these if you want to do a well structured work out. or if you wanna study for 20mins then have 5min break then back to study for another 20mins ect.
usefull tool in any persons desk for exercise and other ideas that involve timing.

Only for the Serious Gym Workouts4
This gadget does all that it claims and once you get the hang of it it can ensure that you are really sticking to your planned gym workout - in terms of rest and workout intervals.
All very well if you have the self discipline for every session in the gym but when you reach the point where you are totally exhausted you really don't need this gadget telling you that you are slacking. It's a psychological thing I suppose.
So - yes - I would recommend getting this gadget - but don't plan on using it for every session - just for the serious gym workouts.
