Original producer Jack Endino returned to the studio with the original analogue tapes to oversee the remastering process while in additioncleaning up a previously unreleased live show from 1990 which is also featured. The album's mix of sludgy, down-tuned punk influenced metal and Cobain's classic song writing at first sold only 40,000 copies and it wasn't until their secondalbum 'Nevermind'- which kick started a whole new genre andpropelled the band into the mainstream - that 'Bleach' became a hit.
