Average customer review:Product Description
Now that the cost of the average wedding runs well into five figures, the job of capturing a complete record of the great day has become critical and those who undertake it, even if they are not themselves professional photographers, will want to make sure they are fully prepared and equipped to deliver a completed album that is up to the highest standards. To ensure that they achieve the best results they need look no further than this admirably comprehensive and practical manual which is packed with inspirational examples of the very best work from around the world. The book, which is aimed at both amateur and professional photographers, starts with a discussion of the choice of equipment available, and then goes on to take the reader through every aspect of a wedding shoot - preparations and planning, locations and poses, the execution of the shoot, printing and work in the digital darkroom, designing an album - and ends with a chapter on the business aspects of wedding photography.

Customer Reviews
If you only want to own one Wedding Photography Book, This is the one for you
I am now into double figures when it comes to buying Wedding Photography Books and I'm glad to say this one is by far the best. Do I wish I bought this one first? No, as I have several books to compare this one to.
The other books I have are all good; it's just that this one stands out more. It gives you a guide as to what equipment is needed for the big day. From the front cover to the back page it is full of beautiful wedding pictures and ideas. The layout is very user friendly. It has a fresh modern approach to wedding photography with lots of new ideas. Each one of the beautiful pictures has the camera settings beside it. Which, I found very useful. This book also gives you structures for the day, tips on how to interact with the wedding party. Most of all, this entire book makes it seem an enjoyable experience for the photographer (as it should be) and not just a nerve racking day. The book also spends a lot of time explaining how to take the pictures from your memory card to produce the finished album, as well as how to advertise and how to sell your product.
I have taken a lot form this book, one of the most important for me, is confidence. I can now stop thinking about becoming a Professional Wedding Photographer, and start taking steps to achieving that goal.
I went onto the author's website (details in the book) for more inspiration and was very excited to find that she also runs (affordable) practical training courses. I am currently in negotiations with my wife, to book my first course.
This is the one book you must have, truely exceptional images to boot!
This book exudes quality, it is obvious that the author has a true passion for her art. Before reading any of the text I spent hours just being spellbound by the beautiful images, each one capturing a special magical moment.
This book is very informative at all levels and truely special, I know I will pick it up often to just admire the wonderful photographs.
1 Picture = 1000 words! AN EXCEPTIONAL BOOK!
A Not Very professional Guide
I cannot believe the poor standard of photos in this 'professional guide'. While I am not a professional, I would like to be one day but I don't think I'd make it with material such as this. I read descriptions of how certain lighting was achieved and yet see little or no evidence of the results. Far too many over or underexposed photos and let's face it, overcoming these problems is all part of being a professional isn't it? I accept that breaking the rules can yield exciting results (although this is subjective) but come on, there's no excuse for ignoring a few basic rules composition, lighting, exposure etc.
