Product Description

Jlm lives in a fishing village - but no-one goes fishing anymore as all the fish have gone. One day, Jim spots a dolphin beached on the sand. He runs to get help, and everyone works together to return the dolphin to the water. Afterwards, the dolphin stays in the harbour, playing with the swimmers - and he even carries Jim on his back! Then the dolphin disappears, and everyone is so sorrowful they take out a boat to find him. Suddenly the sea is boiling with dolphins leaping out of the sea! They have come to stay - and the village comes to life with tourists, mended boats, and dolphins!

Customer Reviews

Wonderful for grandchildren5
This was purchased for my grand-daughter who is 9 years of age and loves reading and animals and this is a great book by a very fine author, beautifully illustrated. I would thoroughly recommend purchasing it(and it is a great read for adults also!) My grand-daughter loves it.

Another Michael Morupurgo Great!5
We are huge fans of Michael Morpurgo books. Dolphin Boy is a lovey story, beautifully illustrated and we all greatly enjoyed it. We read this firstly when we took it out from the library, but I ended up buying our own copy. It's not a chapter book, so aimed at younger children, however it enjoyed by us all: 2.5 year old girl, 6 year old girl, 8 year old boy and 39 year old Mum!!
