Amazon.co.uk Review
The Nokia 3310 is a small but fully featured mobile, which also has the benefit of being customisable with Xpress on covers. This phone has an internal antenna, so it has curved lines and a low profile. Dual band capability means you can use your phone abroad, and the battery can last up to one week. The 3310 has a real-time clock, which will time-stamp all your calls. You can also use it as an alarm, as a stopwatch and for reminders. T9 predictive text enables you to type messages faster and picture messaging is also supported. SIM toolkit gives you quick access to extra information menus and a vibrating alert enables you to answer calls and messages discreetly. A number of speed-dialling options are available, including voice dialling for up to eight numbers. You can store up to 250 names on your SIM card, depending on type; however, there is no internal phone memory. There are 35 ringtones to choose from and space for seven more, which you can either create using the built-in composer or receive as a message. Profiles for phone behaviour can be customised, or downloaded and any picture messages can be used as a screensaver when the phone is not in use. Special features include chat messaging, concatenated messages and "smilie" templates. The Nokia 3310 is supplied without a connection--SIM free. This enables you to use the SIM card from your existing mobile phone and just upgrade your handset, while keeping the same number.--Simon Pickstock
Customer Reviews
A small phone in a crowd of hundreds!
The Nokia 3310 was launched in 1999 on all five major UK networks, T-Mobile, O2, Virgin, Vodafone and Orange. Since its launch, over 6 million of these phones have been sold in their programmed countries. What I mean by programmed countries is that there are only a certain number of countries that a particular model of phone is sold in, and the Nokia 3310's programmed countries are every country in Europe, Africa and Asia.
On each British network, prices vary...The phone is relatively small compared to its predecessors. It is measured 113 x 48 x 22 mm and only weighs 133g with a standard battery. Even the battery is half the size of batteries on previous Nokia phones and twice as thin as well! This does not affect its performance though, because with up to 4h30m talk time, you are sure to talk for ages and it also has up to 260 hours stand by time, which is great, although remember, both standby and talk times can differ because the amount of time you take to charge it is a factor and whether you have a full battery or not to start with.
Now on to the menu...
1. THE PHONE BOOK
The phone book is the first port of call in the journey through the menu. The first option you have is to search the names already listed, but do save going into the menu to do this, you can just press the down arrow on your phon without having to access the menu. The second option is to add a name to your phone book, just follow the steps. Then you have a third option, which is to erase. Selecting this will give you another option to delete one number or all of the numbers, but if you want to delete all the numbers, you must enter a security code, which is pre-programmed into the phone as 12345. The next option is the edit option, which gives you a choice of which number needs editing. Then you can change the number or name, or even both. The next option is where you can assign a different tone to each incoming call so you know who is calling you just by the tone that is playing. Next you can send a B Card, which means, to send a Business card. What you have to do is save your name and number in the phone book. Then when sending the card, select your number. Then you can send your name and number as a message to anyone! Next is the options menu, which lets you see how much space is left in your phone book and what type of layout you want your phone book to be like. Then along comes the speed dials after options. Here you can assign all your number buttons except 0 to a number. Lastly is Voice tags, which are the ones you need to save in order for your voice dialling to work. Here you can add, delete, assign or playback a voice tag.
2. MESSAGES
Here you have 10 options. The first one is to write messages, which is straight forward. Next you have the Inbox, where messages you have received are stored until deleted and remember this phone can only hold up to 15 messages. Then you have the out box, where all saved messages written by you are kept. Then you have the picture messages menu, which lets you choose, edit and send a picture message. The fifth option is templates, which are starts of messages such as "I am going to be late..." There are 5 prewritten, but there are also three more spaces for ones you can pre-program yourself. Then the next option is smileys, which are those faces like :). These can be included in a text messages, and there are room for two or three that you can design yourself. Then the next option is message settings, where you can change your messaging centre number, language and that sort of stuff. The next two are the info service and the vice mailbox number, which I am not sure of because I do not use them on my network.
3. CHAT
Put simply, this is a chat room for people with compatible phones such as the 3310. You enter the number you want to talk to and start chatting.
4. CALL REGISTER
This is another boring menu, which consists of lists of numbers which have been called, answered etc. You have the option to delete these lists. Also, for a contract customer, there is information about the costs of calls made.
5. TONES
This is the menu where you can select tones for your calls, text messages and even your warning tones and keypad. You can edit and make tones with the composer, change tone volumes. Also, you can change your screen savers and you have the option to turn Vibrating alert on or off.
6. SETTINGS
This is a very complicated menu, where you can do many things such as change, start or stop pin codes and security requests, change your network, depending on your sim card and change your welcome note. Many of these must be accessed by a pin or security code. On the NK3310, the pre-programmed codes are for the PIN number, 1234, and the Security code, 12345.
7. DIVERTS
Choose whether to divert your calls.
8. GAMES
Featuring Pairs, Snake 2, Bantumi and Space impact.
9. CALCULATOR
This is obvious, enter the sum, get the answer.
10. REMINDERS
Here you can program your phone to remind you about something at a certain time. When that time comes, you hear a big bleep until you stop and delete the reminder.
11. CLOCK
Choose your clock settings, self explanatory.
12. PROFILES
Gives different personalities to the phone.

A Class Phone
The 3310 has it all. Picture messaging, logos, ringtones; everything you need for a mobile. Also, it is very easy to use, and has many features. I gave it 4 stars cos I prefer the 3330 for its wap capabilities. But if you don't need that, buy this phone, it rocks!
